For a trip to Armeniathe visa is a compulsory documentSome nationalities are exempt for stays of up to 90 or 180 days. Consular fees start at 7 € (excluding service) for a visa tourism, culture, art, medical treatment, studies or sports travel and allows you to stay up to 120 days. 

It is also possible to obtain a Armenian visa on arrival for certain nationalities.

We advise you to make the online request at least 5 days before your arrival in Armenia. If your reason for visiting Armenia is different, we advise you to apply for a regular visa at the nearest Armenian Embassy or Consulate.

When should you travel to Armenia?

  • Spring (April to June): Spring is ideal for sightseeing and hiking. The weather is pleasant, with mild temperatures and nature in full bloom. It's also the perfect season to observe Armenian cultural life, with various festivals and events.
  • Summer (July to August): Summer in Armenia is hot, especially in low-lying areas such as the capital, Yerevan. However, it's a good time to visit the mountainous regions, where temperatures are milder. Summer activities include swimming in Lake Sevan and attending music and cultural festivals.
  • Autumn (September to November): Autumn is another ideal time to visit Armenia. The weather is cool but pleasant, and the leaves change colour, offering magnificent scenery. It's also harvest time, so it's a great opportunity to sample fresh local produce, including Armenian wines.
  • Winter (December to March): If you like winter sports, winter is a good time to visit Armenia. The mountains offer excellent opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. Temperatures can be cold and some areas are snow-covered, but this offers a different and picturesque perspective of the country.

In general, spring and autumn are considered the best seasons for a balanced travel experience in Armenia, combining pleasant weather with a range of cultural and natural activities.
