✋ Which nationalities are exempt from visa requirements for Armenia?

Most Western countries can stay in Armenia without a visa for periods of up to 90 or 180 days, including Brazil, Argentina and China..

Other nationalities must apply for an e-Visa. If exempt nationals intend to stay longer than the exempt period, they will need to apply for an e-Visa if their stay is less than 120 days.

⏱ When should I apply for an e-Visa?

You must apply for an e-Visa at least 3 days before your arrival. If you are arriving a long way away, we will accept applications but will send you your e-Visa when it is available (about a month before your arrival).

⏳ How long is the e-Visa valid for?

Once the e-Visa has been issued, you have 90 days to enter the country with a 21-day e-Visa, or 180 days to enter with the 120-day e-Visa.

⏩ Want to extend your e-Visa?

It is possible to extend your stay in Armenia by applying to the local authorities for a standard visa. Extensions are not automatic.

Yes, minors also need an e-Visa.

🧒 Do I need to apply for an exit permit for my child?

If a minor leaves French territory without a legal guardian, he or she must be in possession of an AST (authorisation to leave the country). This document can be requested online, and must be completed by one of the holders of parental authority. When travelling, this form must be accompanied by a copy of the identity document of the legal guardian.

🇦🇿 Would you like to visit Azerbaijan during your trip?

The Azeri government has also digitalised the e-Visa application.

⚠️ Please note that the two countries are currently in dispute over a shared area of their territory.. The utmost caution is therefore advised, especially as most checkpoints are currently closed and the authorities are likely to be suspicious of the reason for your previous stay in Armenia.
